The MAK is one of the most important museums of its kind worldwide. Originally created as a collection of samples, the unique collection of the MAK, founded in 1863 as the “Royal Imperial Austrian museum of art and industry”, connects applied arts, design, architecture and contemporary art in an unusual way. Highlights include the redesigned permanent exhibitions in the public collection on Vienna around 1900, the Asia Collection and the Permanent Collection Carpets, as well as the MAK DESIGN LAB.

From May 30 to September 30, 2018, the MAK shows the exhibiton POST OTTO WAGNER: from the Postal Savings Bank to Post-Modernism. During this period, visitors to the MAK enjoy free admission to the exhibition at the WAGNER:WERK Postal Savings Bank Museum—reopened on occasion of the MAK exhibition—from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m, Postsparkasse, Georg-Coch-Platz 2, 1010 Vienna. Please show your Vienna PASS and exhibition coupon, which you will receive at MAK.

It’s a great museum to broaden your minds and appreciation of contemporary and applied arts, free with the Vienna PASS.
