It was right in this very place that, in 1867, he composed The Blue Danube waltz, Austria’s much loved unofficial national anthem. Like a shrine to this world class composer, his apartment displays some of Strauss’ personal collections, instruments and furniture which gives visitors an insights into this enthusiastic musician’s life.
